CODE OF CONDUCT: Quick Overview

FemTechConf are committed to creating a harassment-free experience for everyone, irrespective of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. Harassment in any form is not tolerated. This includes inappropriate use of sexual language and imagery in all event venues, including talks, workshops, parties, and online platforms such as Twitter. Violations of these rules may lead to removal from the event without a refund, a ban from future events organised by FemTechConf, and in cases of serious violations, the involvement of law enforcement and event security.

CODE OF CONDUCT: Detailed Version

Harassment at FemTechConf events includes but is not limited to offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, display of sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Immediate compliance is expected from participants asked to stop any harassing behavior.

This policy applies equally to sponsors. Sexualized images, activities, or materials are not appropriate. Booth staff, including volunteers, are prohibited from wearing sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes or creating a sexualized environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, FemTechConf organizers reserve the right to take suitable actions, including immediate removal from the event without refund and a potential ban from future events. Serious cases may be escalated to law enforcement and event security.

If you are subject to harassment, witness harassment, or have concerns, contact FemTechConf staff promptly. Staff members will be identifiable by branded attire and/or badges.

FemTechConf staff are ready to assist those experiencing harassment, which includes contacting venue/hotel security or local law enforcement, providing escorts, and ensuring a safe environment throughout the event. Your participation is valued.

These rules are to be followed at all FemTechConf event venues, workshops, and related social gatherings.
